Recipe (for 50g Mix)
Ingredients Required:
– Chicken: 1kg, boneless cubes
– Tomatoes: 6-8 medium (500g), finely chopped
– Onions: 2 medium (200g), boiled and ground
– Plain Yogurt: ½ cup, whipped
– Fresh Cilantro: 2-3 tbsp, chopped
– Single Cream: ½ cup
– Butter: ½ cup (75g)
– Cooking Oil: ¼ – ½ cup
– Shan Chicken Handi Mix: 1 packet
Steps of Cooking:
1. Mix Shan Chicken Handi Mix into the yogurt and apply to chicken cubes. Marinate for 30 minutes.
2. Boil the tomatoes in 1-2 cups of water until tender. Sieve to remove skin and seeds; set aside the puree.
3. Boil onions in water, grind to a paste, and sieve. Keep aside.
4. Heat oil, add the marinated chicken, and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
5. Add the tomato puree and onion paste. Cover and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
6. Stir in butter, cilantro, and single cream. Cook for 1 minute and remove from heat.
7. Serve hot with naan.
Tips for Best Results:
– If using store-bought cream, thin it with milk before use.
– Wash chicken with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in half a cup of water before cooking.
– Tomatoes can be replaced with 500g tomato puree/sauce.
